M1 between Figtree and Dapto to close for five nights

Motorists are advised the M1 Princes Motorway between Figtree and Dapto will be closed in both directions for five nights next week for routine maintenance work.
The work will include road repairs and resurfacing, vegetation clearing, cleaning gutters and drains, maintaining safety barriers, and collecting rubbish.
The M1 Princes Motorway will be closed between Masters Road at Figtree and the Princes Highway at Dapto from Sunday 10 May to Thursday 14 May between 8pm and 4am, weather permitting.
Detours for light vehicles will be in place via the Princes Highway during work hours.
Detours for heavy vehicles will be in place via Masters Road, Springhill Road, Five Islands Road, King Street, Windang Road and Lake Entrance Road.
Unless specified otherwise, operators of Class 1, 2 and 3 vehicles travelling under a notice must consult their relevant enforceable network map for a suitable approved alternate route.
Operators of Class 1, 2 and 3 vehicles must not travel off the approved route listed in the permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator.
Motorists should allow up to 20 minutes of additional travel time depending on origin and destination and are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the direction of signs and traffic control.
