Lady Wakehurst Drive to close for two days of works

TfNSW Traffic Alert: 11 June 2026

Motorists are advised Lady Wakehurst Drive will be temporarily closed between McKell Avenue and Otford Lookout next week while maintenance work is carried out.

Lady Wakehurst Drive will be closed in both directions from Tuesday 16 to Thursday 18 June 2026 between 8am and 3pm, weather permitting.

Detours will be in place via McKell Avenue, the M1 Princes Motorway and Lawrence Hargrave Drive.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, follow the directions of signs and traffic control and allow an additional 10 minutes of travel time.

During the closure, cyclists can detour via the same route used by motorists. Cyclists can also access Otford Train Station via Domville Road and Lady Carrington Road. Detours via McKell Avenue provide access to Waterfall Train Station. Variable Message Signs (VMS) will be displayed in advance and cyclists are encouraged to plan their route ahead of time.

Pedestrian access to Otford Lookout and walking tracks to the beaches in the Royal National Park will not be impacted by the closure.

Transport for NSW thanks the community for their patience while this work is carried out.
