What are the Three R’s of Travel Vaccination? Dr Julie Blaze explains this in partner content by Bulli Medical Practice
We are proud to announce that Bulli Medical Practice has joined the Travel Medical Alliance – headed by Dr Deb Mills, a true legend in the field of travel medicine.
For close to 30 years, we have delivered specialised travel medicine services (including Yellow Fever vaccination) and this membership allows us to keep providing the most comprehensive and up-to-date advice available.
Whether you are heading interstate or overseas, our experienced team can tailor advice to your personal medical history, exact itinerary and planned activities. We also stock the full range of travel vaccines as well as medical kits and other travel products.
The Three R’s of Travel Vaccination
Routine
Before you travel, visit us to review and update your routine vaccines. This includes tetanus, measles and polio - especially important in light of recent outbreaks locally and globally. Free measles vaccines are available to adults born after 1966 who have not received two doses of the vaccine or had the illness.
Recommended
Depending on your destination and activities, we may recommend vaccines for hepatitis A and B, typhoid, Japanese Encephalitis, meningococcal meningitis or rabies. Travellers to certain local government areas in Western NSW may also be eligible for a free Japanese Encephalitis vaccine before 1 June.
Required
Some destinations legally require proof of Yellow Fever vaccination for entry. As this vaccine is not suitable for all travellers and can cause serious side effects, a careful individual risk assessment must be completed before it is administered. Our team has the expertise to guide you through this safely!
